حکم اعدام 5 زندانی سیاسی عرب در اهواز در ملا عام اجرا می شود

مقامات امنیتی با خانواده های 5 نفر از بازداشت شدگان عرب در شهرک " ملاشیه " در غرب شهرستان اهواز تماس گرفتند و از اجرای قریب الوقوع حکم اعدام آنها خبر دادند. این متهمان سه برادر به نام های عبدالرحمن ، طاها و جمشید حیدری و همچنین منصور حیدری پسر عموی آنها و امیر معاوی هستند که سال گذشته در ملاشیه در نزدیکی اهواز بازداشت شدند.
اتهام این افراد ترور یک افسر امنیتی و زخمی کردن یکی از همکاران وزارت اطلاعات اعلام شده. خانواده های آنها می گویند اعتراف به دست داشتن در اقدام مسلحانه تحت شکنجه از آنها اخذ شده است.

Arab activists die in detention

Human Rights Watch received information that Mohammad Kaabi, 34, and Nasser Alboshokeh Derafshan, 19, died in detention facilities run by local intelligence officials in Shush and Ahvaz respectively, apparently as a result of torture. The local activists say that most of those arrested are being held in incommunicado detention.

Death and Prison Sentences for Four Kurdish Activist

According to a source obtained by the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, Ali Afshari and Razgar Habib Afshari, two of four Kurdish brothers detained 14 months ago, have now been sentenced to death on charges of “moharebeh” (enmity with God). Two other brothers, Jafar Soltan Afshar and Vali Afshari, have each been handed a five year sentence on charges of "acting against national security".

Judiciary Upholds Death Sentence for Young Kurds

An Iranian court has upheld the death sentence for Zanyar Moradi, 23, an Iranian Kurd previously convicted along with Loghman Moradi, 25 (no relation) for the murder of the son of the Marivan Friday Imam on July 5th, 2009. Eghbal Moradi, the father of Zanyar Moradi, denies the charges and stresses that the family of the victim also have doubts over whether the two men are responsible for the murder.

Revoke Execution Sentence of Web Programmer

The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran is calling for the immediate suspension of the death sentence and investigations into allegations of torture related to the case of for 36-year-old Saeed Malekpour. Malekpour, web programmer and Canadian resident, was arrested on charges of insulting Islam by allegedly managing a network of pornographic sites. Malekpour’s family deny this charge and maintain that he merely developed image-sharing software that may have been used without his knowledge to share pornographic images.
