Twitter can also be used to collect or disseminate information about events in real-time. Twitter can be a powerful tool for collecting information to document or report on human rights abuses; some people call this “twittermining.” Nonetheless, be mindful that Twitter can also be used to misinform or create rumors. You still need to verify tweets by using other sources!
